Civil War Era/Slavery

The Civil War was been a favorite subject of history of mine since I moved to the South when I was 10. I loved learning about the history of the places I lived. The Civil War and slavery (which lasted so much longer than just a war) provides great novels with stories of courageous soldiers, empowered women, fearless outsiders who become heroes.
