Review:
Stars: 5
If I could give more stars I would. There was so much hype about this book I was hesitant to read it and be disappointed. No disappointment here.
This book had it all: world building, suspense, romance, spice and fantasy. The language was fairly heavy but if you can get passed that then there is an amazing story.
Now please excuse me while I jump into Iron Flame.
Sex:
Mentioned without detail throughout the book.
2 really detailed sessions.

Triggers:
*There is a trigger warning page in the front of the book. I will not repeat what is already printed there.
There is a fair amount of death and injury.
Questions:
"This might sound harsh, but don't seek friendships in there, Violet. Forge alliances."
What is the difference between friendship and alliance?
Can you have one without the other?
How would the story have changed if Violet went to be a scribe like Dain wanted her to?
"Hope is fickle, dangerous thing. It steals your focus and aims it toward the possibilities instead of keeping it where it belongs - on the probabilities."
Do you agree with Xaden?
Share your thoughts on this quote.
After the dragons confirm their bonding Dain kisses Violet. There was no feeling in it from Violet. She realized she no longer wanted Dain.
Have you ever experienced something similar?
Why do you think Violet did not trust Dain with her secrets?
Why would she trust Xaden more than Dain?
"We might be hundreds of miles from Basgiath, but I've never felt more at home."
Violet says this after seeing Mira while on an expedition.
Who is your "home"?
Survivors guilt seems to be a theme many characters struggle with.
Have you ever experienced or known someone who experienced survivors guilt?
What event provided the biggest shock?
