Review:

Stars: 4

I have a really negative look on The Scarlet Letter due to a personal tragedy that occurred while I was reading the book for school. I usually stay away from anything that has to do with The Scarlet Letter because I don't like the memories being brought back up. But I am so glad I found this story! I really enjoyed the literary history, the romance, and the story of motherhood that I found in this treasure. Alice Hoffman did a beautiful job with her words and with Jessie Mueller's voice I was able to feel the story in my soul.
