WWII: The Greatest Generation to Ever Live

Updated: Jan 23

There is no secret that WWII fiction and even non-fiction are among some of my favorite books to read. I find the subject matter equally heartbreaking and empowering. Reading stories of amazing acts of survival through great tribulation is inspiring. I hope you can find the love of these books as I have. Here is a list of just some of the WWII novels I have come across (in no particular order)

  1. The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel

  2. On the Horizon by Lois Lowry

  3. The Sweetness of Forgetting by Kristin Harmel

  4. The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn

  5. The Paris Daughter by Kristin Harmel

  6. Damn Lucky by Kevin Maurer

  7. The Circus Train by Amita Parikh

  8. The German Girl by Armando Lucas Correa

  9. The Secret Book of Flora Lea by Patti Callahan Henry

  10. Great Circle by Maggie Shipstead

  11. The Boys In The Boat by Daniel James Brown
